Reflecting on a Year of Giving and Thankfulness

Coinciding with the change in season, the holidays mark a time of both thankfulness and reflection. We find that our most impactful innovations are ones that meaningfully connect to the world around us, and the same holds true in our relationships.

Milliken brings together a global community dedicated to redefining the form and function of specialty chemicals, floor covering, and performance and protective textiles. Our associates are instrumental in accomplishing this goal — their unique insights across a breadth of countries, backgrounds and experiences contribute to our abilities for more than 150 years.

Their unique insights also help power an important part of daily life at Milliken – our Milliken Gives program. In addition to financial contributions, Milliken associates have logged nearly 2,000 volunteer hours to our volunteer portal since its launch this July, supporting local community causes that are meaningful to them. We share a few highlights with you below.

Helping to side, spackle and paint a local Habitat for Humanity home, the Milliken Healthcare Products team enjoyed a day outdoors in the Greenville, South Carolina, community.

As part of their Women in Networking group, associates from across our facilities came together at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas home to spend the day cleaning the house and preparing a meal for families with local children in nearby hospitals.

Milliken Gives Europe

This September, associates from Milliken Floors Europe completed the Wigan 10K in Greater Manchester, England in support of stroke survivors and their families, as well as the ‘Rainbow Ward’ for children in a local hospital. The team raised £861 for the causes, matched by Milliken for a total of £1,722.

Whether our associates are making a difference in their communities, or evolving with us as we meet new innovation horizons, we are thankful for you. We send out best wishes to you and your family and friends this holiday season.
