Safety and training facilitator at Milliken’s Allen Plant, where Milliken Chemical products are manufactured, Sammy’s commitment to safety continues to elevate best safety practices at Milliken for the benefit of our customers, our associates, and our company.

‘Experience’ can be defined as an event or occurrence that leaves an impression on someone. With multifaceted roles that are both customer-facing and behind the scenes, we are honored to highlight two of these associates with a deep connection of their own.

During the 2018 NeoCon commercial design show, one of Milliken floor covering’s latest innovative introductions, Textured Sky, was honored with a prestigious Best of NeoCon Editor’s Choice award presented by Contract magazine. Designed by Katelyn Campbell — soon to celebrate eight years with Milliken — the collection also was named an Interior Design magazine HiP Award finalist in the workplace carpet flooring category.

Research and development can be a powerful tool for organizations. Connecting scientific, technical and creative insights to solve problems or enhance daily life is a credo that Milliken is proud to work toward every day.

Perspective can be an instrumental tool in pursuit of exploring, discovering and creating new ways to enhance life. Across a breadth of industries, our associates contribute their talents, skills and perspectives towards achieving this vision - highlighting the collaborative spirit of innovation.

Last month, we presented our annual associate recognition program, Milliken Honors, which highlights the everyday champions who are the driving force behind Milliken’s success. Each of our 55 associates recognized inspire us through their actions and values, and as a company, we celebrate their devotion to our community of innovators.

This time of year inspires the best in all of us – encouraging us to find special ways to give back to our communities or to bring joy to those who might need it most. For Lakessa Wright, giving is something she makes a priority – no matter the season.

For Eduardo Torres, collaboration is how innovation thrives. Pulling from a multitude of disciplines and utilizing different approaches, Eduardo sees the impact of cross-functional skills coming together to exceed what was thought possible.
